Sword Play for clubs & groups, sports & activity centres, holiday schemes and fetes.

Why Fencing?

Fencing is an ideal sport to introduce to your members. It is exciting, fairly easy to learn the basics quickly and probably a new experience for most. When asked, many people say that fencing is something they've always wanted to try. Anyone aged 8 to 88 (and over!) can have a go at fencing, it is just as much a thinking, strategic sport as it is a physical one, so wily experience can be as much of an advantage as young enthusiasm! Even children as young as 6 can have a try with special foam swords - great fun!

What can Sword Play offer?

Foam swords - Suitable for children aged 6+, these can be used for a fun 'party' session, with lots of games thrown in amongst the fencing. We can even include a battle at the end! Alternatively we can use this equipment for a more formal fencing lesson. This can be particularly useful when sessions have a very limited time as we don't need to worry about using time-consuming protective clothing.

Full fencing kit - This equipment is suitable for children aged 8+ as a one-off introduction to fencing. These taster sessions are especially popular with sports centres and holiday schemes - fencing is certainly something a bit different to offer. We have adult sized kit too, so adult taster sessions are also possible - these are usually fully booked very quickly!

Fetes and Bazaars - Sword Play can also be booked to come to your event. Either as a sideshow activity where people can have a quick go, or as an arena display. Either sets of kit can be used. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

How do we book?
