An Introduction to Fencing

Modern fencing is a quick thinking, enjoyable sport. It is sometimes described as chess at lightning speed. Fencing can improve hand-eye co-ordination, balance, concentration and self control - not to mention fitness! Fencing is suitable for children aged around 7 and over, up to men and women of all ages. There are three different fencing weapons: foil, epée and sabre, each having their own rules and conventions.
